LCD Loneliness

I was stoked to start taking some cool pictures this summer when I opened my camera and found a broken screen. Sad day.. The good news is that I can still take pictures, the bad news is that I can't look at them until they're on my laptop, and the funny thing about it is that it's not like I've never had to do this before (minus lappy). I just like modern conveniences and instant gratification and being impatient, okay? It'll be a fun surprise? I hate surprises.

Farewell LCD screen that costs more to replace than buying a new camera. I miss you already.

On a happier note, I am including my latest fave UHLS video. All I have to say is that whoever I marry better love to dance, cause we're learning this. So cute.

Cruisin'

This last week, a group of friends and I went on a really fun cruise to Catalina Island and Estinada, Mexico. I had never been on a cruise before. It was so much fun to play with all my friends and get pampered the whole time! Here are a few pictures I took. (If you want to check out the whole thing, I'm sure you can find it all on Facebook)

This is the group! Steven's grandparents were nice enough to let us stay at their house on the ride down.


We had a fun day at sea before our first stop at Catalina Island. The boys were very cool and took the pictures for our photo shoot on deck.

It was so much fun, but we had to come back to real life eventually. I'd absolutely LOVE to do another cruise again!

Best Birthday EVER!

Today has been the best day!! I had HUGE pancakes for breakfast, went to dinner with Dede, and came home to a surprise birthday party!! Oh, it doesn't end there! We learned an awesome HSM dance and attempted to learn "Party in the USA" ASL. THEN me and the guys went to How to Train Your Dragon. SO good! To top it off, I got so many calls, texts, and wall posts wishing me a happy birthday. I have the best friends and family ever! Thanks so much!

Enya

This school year has been so busy! Earlier today I was thinking of some ways that I could wind down, relax, and de-stress. I then realized that it has been a very long time since I have done Enya. For those of you that don't know,"Enya" is a relaxing exercise my roommates and I used to do way back when. We would get in our jammies, grab a pillow and some blankets and relax while we listened to Enya and watched some lights projected onto the ceiling. (Weird, I know. It's a "you had to be there" thing.) My friend has graciously let me borrow her "light projector" so that I can carry on the Enya tradition at college. It hasn't caught on with my other roommates quite like I thought it would, but I still love it. The point of this story is that I'm going to do Enya tonight for the first time in a long time and I'm really excited! So here is a shout out to all my girls who began this..interesting tradition. You know who you are. :)

Summer, here I come!

The weather was so warm today! We FINALLY got to play outside!

There was still a ton of snow, but we found this cool bridge hidden down a side road to play on instead of the cold, snowy park.
We still have snow, but a girl can dream about warmer days! I can't wait!

Deep-Fried Cooking

My roommate tried deep-frying chicken the other day. She put the pan on the stove and went to check on something, thinking that the oil would take a while to heat. She came back to a stinky, smoke filled apartment. We then began to calmly discuss the safest way to put out a grease fire. Needless to say, the chicken will have to wait for another day...in the far future.
